Viral Acharya will do a talk Recent developments in financial regulatory policy in the United States: Review and Critique at NIPFP (1st floor conference room) at 4:30 PM on Monday the 20th of December. All are invited. The talk will be followed by snacks on the lawns of NIPFP.
This will draw upon the work of many scholars at the NYU Stern School of Business, which has given two books: Restoring financial stability: How to repair a failed system (Viral V. Acharya, Matthew Richardson, 2009) and Regulating Wall Street: The Dodd-Frank Act and the new architecture of global finance (Viral V. Acharya, Thomas F. Cooley, Matthew P. Richardson, Ingo Walter, 2010).
Can we not have a video of the talk on youtube ?
ReplyDeleteNIPFP must have recorded such an important talk, but the point is whether they will put it up online ? Youtube doesn't accommodate longer than 15mins or bigger than 2GB files; unless pre-2006 director accounts or present day partner accounts are used for such talk !
ReplyDeleteProf Ajay must consider goading NIPFP into loading all videos of such talks, including NIPFP-DEA meetings...
I attended one such meeting a little over 2 years back, wherein the practitioner track was best.
The videos would upgrade this blog tremendously and stimulate more comments through ensuing discussions - keeps the matter alive and relevant.
