Willem Buiter has written a fascinating
blog post on John Gieve's departure as deputy governor of the Bank of England. None of it directly concerns us here in India. But the deeper issues are universal and worth pondering over. And, we need more people with the stature of Willem Buiter who are willing to speak bluntly, and name names, on questions of public policy.
